A film about the man, not about his trade.
01 · The challenge
Zdravko’s work cannot be filmed as proof. Dowsing is contested for many people; for those who trusted him to find a relative, it was the last hope left. The film does not judge — it puts the man at the centre and leaves the viewer to make up their own mind.
02 · The approach
A small crew, filming at his home, in his caravan and out in the field. No studio and nothing staged. The camera waited until he was ready to talk — which is exactly why he talks.
03 · The archive
On Zdravko’s table are cuttings, maps and notes — a page for every case. That table was the starting point for the script: the film was not looking for a story, only for order in what Zdravko had already kept.
04 · The result
Four festivals, regular distribution on T-2 VOD, a 3.8/5 rating from more than three hundred viewers — and a full house at the premiere.
